Summer Student - General Labourer (Inuvik)

Under the general supervision of the Manager Maintenance Services, you will perform general maintenance tasks including: garbage pickup, litter control, brush cutting, painting, and custodial duties. 

• Assist with general repairs, carpentry work, and labor-intensive activities as required.
• Maintain yards, organize shop areas, and ensure cleanliness in plants.
• Support trades staff as needed with various tasks.
• Wash and maintain vehicles.
• Complete other labor-related assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum grade 10 education required.
• Full class 5 drivers license is required.
• One year of mechanic, plumbing/heating or electrical experience required. Equivalencies may be considered.

This position pays $30.82 per hour plus 10% vacation pay.  No housing or relocation assistance provided.
