The Apprentice Heavy Duty Technician will, as their training allows, undertake the job and functions of a Journeyperson as outlined below. In addition, the Apprentice may be required to undertake training and practical work as part of the apprenticeship program that may not normally be utilized by the Corporation and may not be reflected below.

To perform senior level work in the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electrical generation and control equipment, along with auxiliary equipment such as electric motors, transformers, relays, electronic governors, voltage regulators, and other NTPC electrical systems in diesel, gas, wind, solar, battery energy storage systems and /or hydro generating stations. All work shall be carried out in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and NTPC policies and standards.
Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Plant Operations Hydro the incumbent is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the electrical generating units, plants and their respective auxiliary equipment at the Diesel/Hydro sites.
The Enterprise Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining core enterprise applications that support the organization’s IT service delivery. These applications are essential for internal IT operations but are not typically accessed directly by non-IT staff. This includes systems related to identity and access management, communication platforms, service management tools, endpoint management, security solutions, and infrastructure monitoring.
